Marilyn Van Derbur was crowned Miss America in 1958 while she was a student at the University of Colorado.
A childhood incest survivor who did not speak publicly about her abuse until 35 years later, Marilyn has devoted much of her adult life to raising national awareness and understanding of sexual abuse and its long-term effects.
Her book "Miss America by Day" has received numerous awards, including first place in Most Inspirational Book category from Writer's Digest.

Friday, June 29, 2012: Confessions with John Bradley at Glenwood Springs Community Center
John Bradley has served as District Attorney in Williamson County, Texas and speaks regularly at continuing legal education seminars in Texas and throughout the United States.
In Confessions, Mr. Bradley will discuss the four types of confessions, use of controlled phone calls, mental health issues in the use of phone calls, privacy issues, and other opportunities to capture conversations.
This interactive training is provided to members of the multi-disciplinary teams working with River Bridge Regional Center, as well as to any interested community members.
