Phil Long Glenwood Springs Subaru Shares the Love for Hometown Nonprofit
Retailer Hosting Check Presentation Ceremony and Community Lunch on May 21
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo., May 11, 2026 – For the fifth consecutive year, Phil Long Glenwood Springs Subaru and Subaru of America jointly supported River Bridge Regional Center as part of the 2025 Subaru Share the Love® Event. As a result of this year’s campaign, the retailer will present a check for $11,000 to River Bridge Regional Center, contributing to a cumulative $83,500 raised benefiting the nonprofit.
The public is invited the retailer’s check presentation ceremony and community lunch on May 21 at 12:00 p.m. Registration is requested but not required to attend. RSVPs can be sent to swinkler@phillong.com.
With every new Subaru purchased or leased during the campaign, Subaru of America and Phil Long Glenwood Springs Subaru, together, donated $350 to each customer’s choice of local or national charities, including River Bridge Regional Center, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America and the National Park Foundation.
Additionally, Subaru of America and the retailer provided a donation for every Phil Long Subaru vehicle routine-service visit during the campaign period.
During the Subaru Share the Love® Event, retailers selected a hometown charity that touches their local community’s heart and meets various requirements, provided the charity does not harm animals, is environmentally responsible, and ensures donations are being used for the charitable mission and not administration costs. River Bridge was selected for their impact and support provided to the growing number of child sexual assault victims in Pitkin, Garfield, Eagle, and Rio Blanco counties.

This year’s donation will support the Center’s operations, provide critical services for child victims of abuse, and expand programs and educational opportunities that empower our community to recognize and prevent child abuse. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that approximately 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 20 boys in the United States experience child sexual abuse.

ABOUT RIVER BRIDGE REGIONAL CENTER
River Bridge Regional Center is a nationally accredited nonprofit child advocacy center, utilizing a child-centered, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, assessment, and treatment of child abuse. River Bridge has served 3,376 children and over 5,000 caregivers and non-offending family members since opening in 2008. Since 2017, the Mountain West SANE Alliance, a program within RBRC, has responded to 367 calls and conducted 215 medical forensic exams for adult and adolescent victims of sexual assault.
In 2025, one of our most significant accomplishments was completing a Community Needs Assessment focused on child abuse prevention education in Garfield County. The findings highlighted both existing strengths and important opportunities to deepen partnerships and expand education efforts across our community. River Bridge looks forward to using these insights to develop a prevention program grounded in evidence-based curriculum and tailored to the unique needs of the families we serve. This important work was made possible in large part through support from the Share the Love program.
